1/12 My definition of the supply chain:

Is very clear and enlightened by experience

Is still a bit academic...but I am fascinated by the field

Takes me more than 15 seconds to formulate...but should be easy to find with a search engine

2/12 When I hear the word Lean:

I think of an autonomous production workshop that keeps expenses to a strict minimum

I think of at least 3 concrete improvement techniques from which I could take inspiration for supply chain optimisation projects

I think of Japan and cars

3/12 DDMRP is:

Hold on a sec, I’ll ask Google

A planning technique I know well, or in which I have been trained

A concept that’s in style, that I have read about in trade magazines or heard of during training

4/12 The safety stock:

Usually represents 5-9 days of supply

Is the threshold below which a replenishment order should be launched

Is calculated on the basis of the variability of consumption and procurement, and the objective stock-out rate

5/12 I am asked about WMS:

I’ll google that, too

I can name at least 2 publishers and indicate 3 key functionalities

I think it’s a warehouse management software package

6/12 I am asked about Incoterms:

I name at least 4 and indicate their position on a customer/supplier flow diagram

I remember something about limits of liability in overseas flows

I am starting to get really lost

7/12 The optimisation of transportation flows involves:

Calls for tenders and relentless negotiating with carriers

‘New’ ideas to optimise vehicle fill, maximize the use of resources, reduce distances travelled and form closer partnerships with service providers

Finding the right balance between the service offered and the costs of transportation

8/12 A game I find inspiring:

Pick-up sticks

LEGO building blocks

POKER

9/12 A sport that reflects who I am:

Golf

Boxing

Rock climbing

10/12 What I’m looking for in a job:

A nice office near the coffee machine and far from my boss’s office

Day-to-day challenges and concrete results

A meritocracy

11/12 I’m applying to TRAKER after having:

Quickly looked at your expertise and your offers on your site

Heard about you and your career opportunities

Spent at least 20 minutes attentively reading the information on your site and forming a clear picture of the services you provide

12/12 I’m applying to TRAKER because:
